Our Process

Our Ripoff Report Removal Process includes 4 steps. While each step is equally important to a successful campaign it is the 3rd step which can take the most time. The average time to initial success, defined as seeing the first page of all major search engines clear, can take 1-6 months on average, while some extreme cases may take longer. Budget constraints are the main deciding factor in our work as our process is very labor intensive. In most cases clients will see much better results when we are given increased resources.

Step 1 - Identify the Problem and Potential Assets:

The first step in our process is identifying all the negative listings showing in the search engines results. We usually check the top 50 results across Google, Yahoo, MSN, and other major search engines. The goal of this step is twofold, the first being to simply know what negative listings from ripoffreport.com and other sites we are tracking progress on. The second goal is to find positive and neutral listings that already exist that we wish to "push up" in the search results.

Step 2 - Content Creation:

In the majority of cases there is not enough positive/neutral content available or that is well enough optimized to meet our needs. Because of this we often have to create new content that we can then push up to displace the negative listings. We are extremely careful to make sure that the content we create is extremely professional, highlighting our clients strong points and coordinating with other marketing and PR related campaigns.

We usually use a four prong approach to this process, utilizing the following types of content:

  • Professional Company/Personal Profiles
  • Promotional Blog Postings
  • Sub-Domains on existing Company/Personal websites
  • Video Content

Step 3 - Organic Link Building:

In most cases at least some of the content we create will immediately populate above the negative listings. However, content creation alone is almost never enough to see the first initial success in a campaign. The real meat of these campaigns is the link building process used to push our listings to the top of the search engines. Due to the non-promotional nature of the target keywords in these campaigns we have to implement an entirely unique method for obtaining quality links. While we cannot entirely divulge this process let us say that building partnerships and leveraging the social nature of the web play a large part in this process.

Step 4 - Monitoring:

Once we've seen initial success in a campaign it is extremely important to monitor the results of our labors and preempt any potential reemergence of the negative listings. This is done by using regularly scheduled tracking reports that check the positioning of the offending listings.
